I was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Can Nutritional Therapy be of any help?
According to Dr. Blaylock a noted neurosurgeon, stated that there is a common link between Parkinson’s disease and other inflammatory conditions such as: diabetes, obesity, consumption of Omega-6 fats, trauma and exposure to toxic metals and infections.
One of the strongest links to Parkinson’s disease is exposure to pesticides and herbicides. These are the chemicals we use to spray our homes etc.
In the journal Neurology 1999;52: 1467-1471, the authors discussed the dangers of pesticide exposure. The study reported five cases of explosive onset of Parkinson’s disease symptoms after they were exposed to a common household pesticide.
Dr. Blaylock also indicated in his report that vaccinations can dramatically increase one’s risk of developing a neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Blaylock reported of a study in which animals received a sub toxic dose of the chemical MPTP and it was noted that the vaccinated animals suffered from increased sensitivity to the toxin to such an extent that it destroyed the same area of the brain destroyed in Parkinson’s disease.
What can you do? To start with, you must eat a healthy diet, and you must avoid a high protein diet. Your diet should include vegetables and fruits that are pesticide free. Also, avoid sugars, including all sugar substitutes. Drink artesian type water and go on a program of whole food supplements that is designed specifically for you.
I recommend that you find a chiropractor that is also trained in Nutritional Response Testing and start your journey to better health.
