Who Looks Healthier After Cancer?

My mother just finished chemotherapy treatment for her cancer and she looks as if she came from concentration camp. What can nutrition do for people with cancer?
Recently the website Natural News published an article dealing with that issue. The attached pictures are that of Michael Douglas and Suzanne Somers. Both were cancer patients. The only difference was that one person chose the natural treatment and the other one chose the highly toxic chemotherapy.
It is difficult to look at Michael Douglas and not come to a conclusion that he looks as if he is dying. To be more accurate, he is being killed by the cancer industry just like your mom and many other patients who have been poisoned, irradiated or surgically harmed.
Instead of listening to the oncologist who believes that only chemotherapy and radiation should be the treatment of choice, answers should come from people who have had it and who have survived. People like Larraine Day, M.D., Suzanne Somers and others. Suzanne Somers and others who have brought natural approach to cancer therapy to the limelight.
Suzanne Somers is teaching audiences around the country that natural cures is the only system of medicine that works.
Michael Douglas has surrendered his health over to the oncologists with their poisonous chemotherapy, and the media is calling Michael courageous. Selling your body to the cancer industry is not courageous, it is foolish.
The photos above tell the real story. Suzanne Somers looks vibrant and a lot healthier than Michael Douglas.
Take charge of your life and see if you can have the same vibrant health that Suzanne has acquired through natural therapies.
NUTRITIONAL SECRETS FOR ACID REFLUX
I have a problem with acid reflux (GERD). My doctor recommended I take Nexium. However, I am looking for a drug free approach.
It’s a smart move on your part to seek alternative treatment. The side effects of taking drugs such as Nexium may cause an increased risk of hip fractures. According to Public Citizen’s Group, a study revealed a 44% increase in hip fractures within one year of therapy. It may also cause acute kidney infections and an increased risk for community-acquired pneumonia. This class of drugs is approved for short term use only. Unfortunately, many people use it for years.
The alternative, non-drug treatments do not pose any safety concerns. Most digestive upsets comes from what we put into our mouths. So, in a very real way, digestive conditions begin with poor eating decisions that rely on convenient foods (junk food). Environmental factors such as chemicals, heavy metals, and immune challenges can play a role as well. Since you are suffering from acid reflux, I urge you to take it seriously, because when there is smoke, there is fire! I recommend Nutrition Response Testing (NRT) as it gets to the root cause of these functional conditions and provides a health improvement program that promotes the body’s own innate healing power.
Many people suffer needlessly. As one of my patients wrote, “I wish someone had told me about NRT long ago. I would not have suffered as long as I did. Getting evaluated and treatment was the best thing I did.”
HOW TO GET AND STAY WELL
My doctor told me I have gallstones and he wants me to have my gallbladder removed. Any alternative suggestions?
There are over one million gallbladder surgeries a year and out of total ignorance the patients believe what they are told. “The gallbladder isn’t needed any way.”This could be no further from the truth. You must have a gallbladder to digest fats. The gallbladder stores bile, which helps you emulsify and absorb fats. Not having a gallbladder is similar to a person trying to wash greasy dishes without soap. In some instances it could be due to hormonal imbalance and/or genetic predisposition. The most
common cause for the formation of gall stones is what the patient has done to him or herself. The bile produced by the gallbladder is made of alkaline bile salts, billirubin, cholesterol, If the patient is on high Acid-Ash residue diet such as seen in someone overeating fried foods, cheeses, and meats, the body has to go into emergency physiology. This will result in upsetting the normal bile salts to cholesterol ratio in the gallbladder and reduce the liquidity of the bile. This prevents the cholesterol
from being absorbed thus forming the gallstones which are a product of survival.
Some of the early symptoms are early morning stiffness, bloating sensation of the abdomen within a short time after eating. Stools are lightly colored rather than dark brown, and some patients notice their face and ears are itchy. Frequently, blood tests will be normal. My recommendation is to undergo a Nutrition Response Testing and see if you could be helped
without drugs and surgery.
Low Fat Diet and Heart Disease
My medical doctor is pressuring me to eat a low fat diet to minimize the risk of heart disease. However, my friend who studies nutrition recommended that I do not cut the fat in my diet. I am confused. What should I do?
Many Americans are either being told to change to a low fat diet or are doing so on their own. However, there is strong evidence that replacing fat with carbohydrates could be harmful to your health. This was the conclusion of nutritional experts at the recent American Dietetic Association conference on nutrition in Boston, in November 2010.
A recommendation to reduce saturated fat intake is primarily based on the notion that high levels of saturated fat increases the risk of heart disease. However, if you want to reduce saturated fat, you must replace it with other good fats, as studies have suggested that fat reduction could increase the risk of heart disease. Four leading experts at the conference suggested that low fat diets may be less healthy than those containing at least a moderate amount of fat.
An assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Mozaffarian, concurs with others about a lack of evidence linking total fat consumption and cardiovascular disease risk. Dr. Mozaffarian stated that “overall dietary quality is very important for cardiovascular risk.” He also added that “Saturated fats may raise LDL cholesterol but increasing levels of all fats lowers triglycerides.”
Dr. Lictenstein of Tufts University has noted that we should not focus on a single nutrient for disease risk reduction, because when one component goes down, another goes up.
If you are serious about regaining or maintaining your health, then find a whole food nutritionist and start your journey to better health.

WHAT YOU EAT CAN KILL YOU
I am having multiple health problems. Nothing seems to help. Can my diet be the main culprit? Please advise.
It is an old Cliché, you are what you eat. Many people become very defensive when asked about their diet. The usual response is “I eat a balanced diet.” The truth is that you might cease to exist if you continue to make poor food choices (remember the movie Super Size It?). Most people don’t think that food can kill them.
Dr. Blaylock, a retired neurosurgeon stated, that in a recent JAMA publication, it was noted that today’s children may have shorter life expectancy than their parents. This is due to obesity and in addition, chronic illnesses of all kinds are now appearing in astronomical rates among the youth. Also noted, was that childhood asthma rose 200 percent, obesity rose 400 percent and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and autism have gone through the roof.
If you are older, it does not mean that you’re out of the woods. Neurological disorders have been underestimated and neurodegenerative diseases are reaching frightening proportions. Autoimmune diseases and certain cancers have all exploded in recent years.
Dr. Blaylock stated that most authorities concluded that most of the problems have environmental causes. This means we are doing this to ourselves.
If you want a chance to reclaim your health, I recommend that you find a chiropractor who is also trained in Nutrition Response Testing. It is never too late to give alternative medicine a try. Why would you want to wait to experience a better quality of life?
ADHD AND CHIROPRACTIC
Q: My son was diagnosed with ADHD and was given a medication. In checking the side effects of the drug I am very reluctant to administer it to my son. Can chiropractic care help my son with his condition?
A: Let me share with you a couple of published cases regarding chiropractic and ADHD.
Kevin’s story: When Kevin was 3 he was diagnosed as having ADHD. His parents agreed to put Kevin on Ritalin. The medication did its job as far as slowing him down a bit, but he suffered many side effects. Finally at age 6 his parents made the decision to stop giving him Ritalin. His sleeping and eating patterns were still erratic, and his schoolwork was horrible…his writing was illegible and math made no sense to him. His parents decided to have him see a chiropractor. Kevin’s mom reported that at his parent-teacher conference, the first thing the teacher asked was had we put Kevin back on Ritalin. My response was no. She showed me samples of Kevin’s sudden improvement…for the first time his writing is in the lines, it is easy to read and much more age appropriate.
Noah’s story: This is the case of an 8-year-old diagnosed with ADHD. For three years he had been on Ritalin and Prozac and was undergoing behavior modification. After 3 weeks of chiropractic care all medications were removed and after 6 weeks of care the school noted improvement in cognitive skills task concentration, ability to control emotions and decreased aggressiveness. In my opinion you should take your son to a chiropractor to determine if he would benefit from chiropractic
care.
Osteoporosis: A Nutrition Issue?
Can osteoporosis be helped with proper nutrition, or are drugs my only choice?
We have been relying on the theory that if we can prevent the rate of bone turnover and keep calcium available for absorption, then osteoporosis can be avoided. However, maintaining healthy bone is not that simple. If it were, then populations that consumed the most amount of dairy and calcium supplements would have lower rates of osteoporotic fractures. This has not been demonstrated. Countries such as the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Western European countries that consume the most dairy and calcium supplements have the highest rates of hip fractures.
Nutrition is an important modifiable factor in the development and maintenance of bone mass and prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. Calcium and Phosphorus are important to bone health and protein must be incorporated into the matrix of the bone for collagen structures upon which mineralization occurs. There are also other minerals that are crucial in carrying out the reactions and metabolic processes in the bone.
Bone marrow is also a reservoir for minerals that the body needs to regulate electrolytes. The source for the electrolytes is from ingested food, but if the electrolytes are not available when needed, then the body will retrieve the needed electrolytes such as calcium and phosphates from the bone directly. The N.Y.T and the N.E.J.M on 3/24/2010 reported that orthopedists observed that people who take drugs for osteoporosis are showing up with rare and serious fractures of their thigh bones. The decision of which route to take is yours. If you choose the safer nutrition route, I would recommend that you find a chiropractor who is also trained in Nutrition Response Testing and begin your journey to stronger, healthier bones.

LEARN WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR PARKINSON’S DISEASE
I was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Can Nutritional Therapy be of any help?
According to Dr. Blaylock a noted neurosurgeon, stated that there is a common link between Parkinson’s disease and other inflammatory conditions such as: diabetes, obesity, consumption of Omega-6 fats, trauma and exposure to toxic metals and infections.
One of the strongest links to Parkinson’s disease is exposure to pesticides and herbicides. These are the chemicals we use to spray our homes etc.
In the journal Neurology 1999;52: 1467-1471, the authors discussed the dangers of pesticide exposure. The study reported five cases of explosive onset of Parkinson’s disease symptoms after they were exposed to a common household pesticide.
Dr. Blaylock also indicated in his report that vaccinations can dramatically increase one’s risk of developing a neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Blaylock reported of a study in which animals received a sub toxic dose of the chemical MPTP and it was noted that the vaccinated animals suffered from increased sensitivity to the toxin to such an extent that it destroyed the same area of the brain destroyed in Parkinson’s disease.
What can you do? To start with, you must eat a healthy diet, and you must avoid a high protein diet. Your diet should include vegetables and fruits that are pesticide free. Also, avoid sugars, including all sugar substitutes. Drink artesian type water and go on a program of whole food supplements that is designed specifically for you.
I recommend that you find a chiropractor that is also trained in Nutritional Response Testing and start your journey to better health.
Nutrition For Anxiety Disorders
I suffer from anxiety and am wondering if there is a relation between nutritional deficiency and anxiety disorder. I am trying to avoid taking anti-anxiety medications.
Medical science has determined that how we feel is mostly controlled by what we eat and how these building blocks from the food are converted into neurotransmitter chemicals. What we put into our body has a direct impact on how we feel physically and emotionally. Certain items such as caffeine, nicotine, stimulant drugs, preservatives, toxic chemicals, mineral deficiency, sugar and refined foods that you may consume can actually increase your anxiety level.
Are prescription medications always necessary? Medications can provide relief from the symptoms associated with anxiety. However, they have potential dangerous side effects including causing the symptoms, for which you were seeking care in the first place, suicidal thoughts and many others. As a matter of fact, on March 22, 2004, the FDA stated that SSRI medications (such as Celexa) could cause “anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, impulsivity, akathisia, hypomania and mania.” In my opinion, medications should be utilized as a last resort after all alternative therapies have been tried. On many occasions, the patient is being told that his/her problem is secondary to a chemical imbalance. However, there are no physical tests or scientific evidence to substantiate the theory that a chemical imbalance in the brain causes depression or any other mental disorder.”
None of us are born with a Prozac, Celexa or any other drug deficiency. Taking drugs does not correct the cause, in the same way that a gasoline additive does not help when the gas tank is empty.
I recommend that you find a chiropractor who is also trained in Nutrition Response Testing and start your journey to better health.
